eGate Service

 The classic VANs (e.g. X400) are too expensive particularly for retailers. The general internet does not assure that the messages reach its addressees. With the eGate Service we offer a solution which is on the one hand more favorable than VANs because it is based on the Internet, on the other hand it offers similar and partially even more possibilities than VANs do.

  The eGate service is based on a mail server, specially configured for the EDI data exchange, which is directly addressed by the user via Internet. The identification of the sender or recipient can be established by various security mechanisms as well as the save receipt of the message. If the server has accepted the message, it got spooled and transmitted directly to the external destination.

 Each message which has been sent or has been received via the eGate server, is still available for at least 14 days. With the eGate webinterface you can re-receive messages and handle many other administrative operations on your messages.
